We continue our meditations on the word “Remember” in the New Testament.

This word repeated several times in the New Testament.

Some people ask me:

Occasionally, I receive questions from people regarding how to direct tithing contributions. Is it appropriate to give our tithing money to a needy relative? Or should we send it to the poor in Egypt? Can we contribute tithing money to Sunday school ministry, publishing material, or church construction? Is it important that we bring offering every time we walk into church as the scriptures command that we should not appear before Him empty-handed (Exodus 23:15, 34:20).

“If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.” (James 1:26) This verse reveals the danger of uncontrolled tongue. If a man doesn’t restraint his tongue, his whole spiritual live would come to ruins. His worship, ministry, and strive would be all in vain.

+ In our spiritual lives, stones and rocks may resemble some callousness, haughtiness and pride, or hatred that led to hardheartedness. Stones can also resemble our favorite sins such as drinking, watching pornography, or judging the leadership of the church. We must not relent in uprooting these rocks form our hearts, not only because they ruin our live and make it barren and fruitless, but also because they circumvent us from seeing God, who can only be seen by the pure in heart.

The parable of the sower is one of the most important parables that Jesus used in His teaching. It was mentioned in the three Synoptic Gospels and explained by Jesus Himself (Matthew 13:3-23, Mark 4:3-20, Luke 8:5-15). In fact, this parable is worthy of keeping it before our eyes whenever we read or listen to any teachings so that the words of any teaching bring fruit within us.
