تميّزت حياة البابا كيرلّس السادس بالعديد من الفضائل، كان من أبرزها أبوّته الروحية التي لمسها كلّ مَن تعامل معه.. كان لهذه الأبوّة ملامح جميلة، منها أنّها:

يمتاز القديس مكاريوس الكبير (300-390م) في كتاباته باستخدام تشبيهات لطيفة متنوّعة للتعبير عن أفكاره الروحيّة.

الكنيسة جسد المسيح هي كائن حيّ.. وُلِدَ يوم الخمسين، وينمو بعمل الروح القدس يومًا فيومًا.. فالسيّد المسيح لم يترك لنا كتابًا أو نصوصًا معيّنه لنحفظها، ولا سلّم للرسل قانونَ إيمانٍ مُحدَّدًا، بل فقط سلّمهم مبادئ المحبّة والقداسة والعدالة، ودعاهم للثبات فيه لكي يمتلئوا من روحه القدّوس.. وبتفاعُلهم مع الروح القدس تنمو الكنيسة..!

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us reflect on some wonderful words about the Virgin St. Mary in the conclusion of the Friday Theotokia* in the daily midnight praises (Tasbeha). Here they are:

As we conclude 2018, in which we celebrated the centennial of Sunday School, I would like to share an important idea that I have been reflecting on for a while. The Sunday School curricula lack, to some extent, having a component of the rich Church praises, and in particular the Theotokias*. During the opening service of Sunday School, we could teach, in addition to songs, some of the responses and simple hymns of the Divine Liturgy as appropriate for each age group. We could also add simple parts from the daily Psalis** that praise and glorify the sweet name of Jesus, chanting them together in English (or any other local language). The important addition, which I believe is necessary, is to teach parts of the daily Theotokias and to also chant them in Sunday School meetings.

ودّعنا منذ اثنين وعشرين عامًا، في 11 ديسمبر من عام 1996م، أبًا عملاقًا من أعظم الآباء الذين أنجبتهم كنيستنا القبطية الأرثوذكسية، وأحد أكبر رجال النسك في هذا الجيل.. هو نيافة الحبر الجليل مُثَلّث الطوبى والرحمات الأنبا مينا آفا مينا أسقف ورئيس دير مارمينا العامر بمريوط.. هذا الرجل الذي لم يكف عن الصلاة طوال حياته بشكل لم نَرَ له مثيلاً، فقد كان هو عمله الأول والأخير الذي لم يملّ منه لحظة واحدة.. لدرجة أنّه في أيام مرضه الأخير كان يبذل مجهودًا شاقًّا جدًا في النطق بكلمات الصلاة والدعاء، ولكنه في كلّ هذا لم يعتذِر عن الصلاة، ولم يردّ أحدًا دون أن يباركه بصلاة خاصة ويعزّيه بدعائه لأجله..
