We will continue the procedure for the next period. Please consider the following before signing up

  1. Deacons must be over the age of 12 or accompanied by an adult.
  2. A schedule for the Fast of St. Mary has been sent a few days ago. We encourage everybody to attend at least one English vespers and follow daily live streaming.
  3. Your family (and deacons) may sign up for only ONE of the following services listed below. If spots are available the day before the scheduled service, your family (and deacons) may sign up again. Signing up for Vespers does not affect your eligibility to sign up for other services.
  4. There will be a spiritual vigil on the eve of St. Mary feast, starts on Friday midnight, and ends by a liturgy from 4 to 6 am, on the side altar at St. Mary church.
  5. The schedule for services for the next two weeks, till August 23, is below.

The rules required for the resuming of the Liturgical Service in the Church with the attendance of the congregation considering the current condition related to the COVID-19 Pandemic

1. General Instructions

  1. Please stay at home if you have any of the flu symptoms or any respiratory-related symptoms, if you have been tested Positive for the COVID-19 virus, please remain in the quarantine till full recovery and two weeks must pass after your full recovery to be able to attend the service.
  2. Church will arrange the attendance for a limited number, to comply with the current rules of the social distancing.
  3. You must register your name/names in ‘the liturgy attendance registration form’, to notify us with your desire to attend the liturgy, and you must select the day on which you (and your nuclear family) can attend. It is not allowed to register for attendance in more than one church.
  4. Attending as one nuclear family should be (if possible) in one car.
  5. Church will take all the required measures to secure your safety and your family’s safety, but your attendance is your own choice, and your full responsibility, the church is not under any responsibility of any kind.

2. When You come to Church

  1. Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the liturgy, the entrance door will be opened then it will be closed and the service will start, the door will remain closed throughout the full duration of the liturgy and it will not be allowed to open for anyone who comes late.
  2. Every person who is 2 years of age and above, must put on a facial mask (and wear gloves if possible), from the moment of leaving the car till going back to it at the end of the service.
  3. Do not forget to bring your own Communion napkin, your own water bottle, and ladies should bring their own headcover.
  4. Hands must be sanitized (Shoes may be taken off as well before entering the inner church door)to the church hall, or before entering the crying/quieting room if the family has young children.

3. While in the Church

  1. Church will appoint the numbered areas for the families, to maintain the social distancing as shown in the diagram below. The yellow, numbered zones indicate the positions where families may stand during the Liturgy. Each family should stick their designated location. Communion will be in order according to these numbers.
  2. Do not touch anything inside the church, including the icons, the lectern, and the Relics of the Saints.
  3. When receiving the communion, please move slowly and maintain the social distancing, when you come in front of the priest you can remove the facial mask, (then kneel if possible) and bend your head backwards, open your mouth wide, and the Priest will drop the Holy Body and  Blood into your mouth without touching your mouth.
  4. After you partake of the Communion, please go back to your exact appointed place. After completely swallowing the Communion use your own water bottle to dispense the communion, and continue to participate in the church praises.
  5. Leaving the church will be in order, according to the zone numbers.
  6. At the end of the liturgy, the Ologgeia Bread will be ready in small pieces and placed in the plate in front of the altar, each person will take a piece before leaving the church, without touching the plate, while still maintaining the social distancing when they move.

4. After the Liturgy Ends

  1. It is not allowed to shake hands, hug, or kiss one another after the liturgy, but greet each other from a distance.
  2. Immediately leave the church to return to your car, no gatherings are allowed in the church or the Church’s parking lot.
  3. Being in the Liturgy is a precious opportunity to offer pure repentance, a chance to pray for those who were reposed, for the needy, and the sick; a chance for almsgiving (Donation of Tithes), and to thank the Lord for his uncountable and immeasurable gifts; a chance to pray for the Church and the salvation of the whole world. Let us try to benefit from it with all our strength.
